Summer Health Tips

Summer has lot many synonyms like heat, lots of sweating, dryness, skin problems, tanning, laziness and many more. The top most disadvantages of summer is frequent dehydration. Here are few tips to keep you healthy while basking in the glory of summer warmth this season.

  1. Hydrate

Drink 8-10glass of water daily to keep your skin and muscles hydrated.

Prefer watery fruits like cucumber, watermelon, blackberries.

Avoid spicy food.

Eat as much fibers as you can as fibers keep your body hydrated.

 

  1. Eat your SPF

Oral intake of Vitamin C and A can limit potential for sunburn. A salad with Vitamin C rich citrus, berries, tomatoes and vitamin E rich nuts is an ideal SPF meal.

Have as many mangoes as much as you can. Mangoes are rich in betacarotene, which acts as a natural sunscreen and fights tanning and skin cell disorder.

 

  1. Modify your lifestyle to perform more activities

Do regular exercises.

Avoid lift; use staircase until it is possible.

Stretch yourself.

Indulge more in social activities.

Limit your duration in sun from 10am to 4pm.

Plan a vacation to re-energize and re-fuel your body.

Enjoy life with more and more physical activities.

 

  1. Eat healthy and light

Heavy meal and full of carbs and fats make the body heavy and as a result heat rises from the body.

Hence it is advisable to eat light food in small small quantity.

Focus more and more on salads.

Have your meals in small small portion.

Avoid fatty food.

 

  1. Avoid Sun as much as you can

Do not prefer any outdoor activities.

Try to wear cotton and linen clothes more.

Do cover your hairs if you are going outside. Our hairs get too much affected by the sun and as result  it becomes dry and rough.

Cover your face from the heat stroke while going outside.

Prefer light color clothes to reflect away the sunlight.
