The Amazon River; largest river of the world drains almost the major regions of South America. The area is having tropical dense rainforest and covers Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, Venezuela.

The Amazon river deposits as much water into the Ocean in a day as the river Tames do in a whole year.

Major attraction is in the Brazilian port city of Manaus where the light salty waters of Rio Solimoes run side by side with dark water of Rio Negro. This point is called the “Meeting of Waters” and is an unusual and striking landscape and a favorite spot of pink river Dolphin.
