Monsoon Diet Tips

After this scorching summer heat, we welcome monsoon with such zeal. It is true that monsoon relieves the earth from the hot summer, but along with it, monsoon brings lots of health risks.

It reduces the immunity of our body and we get prone to allergies, infections and indigestion problems.

Keeping all these in mind, we have brought few diet tips to keep you healthy in this monsoon. So here are these –

 

  1. Avoid eating outside street food.

 

  1. Eat fruits to restore energy. Prefer eating apples, mangoes, pomegranates and pears.

 

 

  1. Avoid watery food like watermelon, rice, lassi.

 

  1. Go for yogurt, cheese, almonds instead of direct milk.

 

 

  1. Drink purified/boiled water that too in plenty.

 

  1. Avoid spicy food.

 

 

  1. Avoid naturally sour food like tomatoes, tamarinds.

 

  1. Take herbal tea instead of excessive tea or coffee.

 

 

  1. If you want to eat salads, prefer steamed ones.

 

  1. Always wash the vegetables well before consuming.

 

 

  1. If you have got wet in the rain; do take shower immediately to protect yourself from infections.

 

  1. Do not eat stale/frozen fish.

 

 

  1. Do use pest control mechanism in your house during the monsoons.

 

  1. Exercise regularly to keep your body toned and immune strong.

 

 

  1. Consume Vitamin E a lot in the form of Nuts, whole grains, green leafy vegetables, avocados and carrots.
