Influence of Western Fashion on people over the Globe

Fashion is the most complete expression of the culture that finds its way in growth of civilization. For centuries; textiles and clothing styles have been one of the most obvious indicators of cross-cultural interchange. With the rapid globalization; over the past several decades, this cross-cultural interchange has impacted lives across the globe and have made extensive change in the economy, culture and daily lives.

Since Britain and other European countries have been ruling the world by making their colonies; their lifestyle, dressing sense and food habits have impacted almost all throughout the globe. People started looking down upon themselves as they thought that their costumes are reflected illiteraly and so refused to wear their native clothes. And thus gave rise to the evolution of western thoughts.

The heritage and traditions are getting lost somewhere with the acceptance of this new kind. Very few prefer their own traditional apparels than these suit boots. The innovation and talent of our new generation and designers are worth complimenting. There used to be a time when only Europeans used to wear trousers, shirts tie and eat with knife and fork. This trend has been accepted across the globe now. Even in the tropical countries; people prefer to wear suit and tie and sit in the air-conditioned room for work.

Though fashion is a wider concept, people relate it to what they wear. There are many factors that impact the trend such as education, media, social norms, customs, religion, work, wealth, friend circle, influence of celebrities, age etc.

Every change has its props and cons. We can say that fashion changes with time and has always been evolving to fit the taste, lifestyle and demands of the society. On the one hand if the world is loving the western culture and fashion; shrinking the cultural heritage of the country is another side to it. Acceptance to western fashion is making us more and more confident and at par with the world. Apparel industry is giving chance to designers to express their talent.

The world is huge, filled with many diversity and cultures. Fashion and apparels are like one language that everyone can understand. It connects people internationally since it travels as suitcases.
