October 1 is recognized as the World’s Vegetarian day each year as to create awareness about the benefits of a vegetarian diet.

Various research and studies say that vegetarian diet can help in reducing the risk of heart diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol and many more. Like any other diets, this diet also has its pros and cons; which needs proper awareness.

Today, I will be highlighting you some of the myths about Vegetarian diet. So here we go!!

  1. It do not have sufficient protein.

There are several vegetarian food that are rich in protein. For example lentils, chickpeas, beans, quinone, nuts, seeds, paneer.

       2.  These diets are boring.

The National Health Portal says that vegetarians enjoy their food as much as anyone else. You just need to know the nutritional value of different food items and cook it in its imaginative way. They will definitely savor your taste buds.

       3. Vegetarian food are full of Carbs

This is a myth as you will get several low carb items in the vegetarian food such as dairy products, nuts, veggies, berries, seeds, beans, peas, lentils and many more. You must need to ensure the balance of all of them.

      4. All the vegetarian food are good for health.

It is again a severe problem since ages. Food like Samosa, patties, canned food items, veg. pizza; they do not have any nutritional value, they will only add up to your taste though are vegetarian.

     5.  Vegetarian food deteriorate your muscle growth and make them weak

Vegetarian food are rich in proteins and can increase your workout efficiency. Food like banana, seeds, nuts can help you in building up your muscles and improve your performances.
