The COVID 19 pandemic has impacted every industry all over the world and with the rising problems warriors have emerged in each sector.
We have been paying tributes to all the warriors be it the doctors who have been the unsung heroes in treating the COVID victims or the Army, Police and all the defence forces who have been working day and night.
The sad part is that we have forgotten to salute or credit one sector who have been working day and night to make our life easier by staying indoors. Yes! I am talking about the IT industry.
Once the pandemic started all the IT professionals have been asked to work from home as they will be more prone to the deadly virus courtesy the large population of the IT offices however this sector is often termed as most lucky in this pandemic as they have the privilege of Work from home and also are getting paid. With this article let’s try to view the life of these IT professionals during the pandemic
These people are no less than warriors and I want to term them as the Technical warriors. Their life is not as easy as it seems to an outsider. Challenges have been thrown at them day in and day out and trust me each time a different and unique challenge.
The biggest challenge has been in communication with colleagues. They end up spending more time on it which piles up the work and they are left with no option to extend their working hours which results in giving less time to the family even though when in the home.
They seem to have mastered time management. From workouts to Day to Day home activities to managing the babies they do it all and end up being highly productive at work. The amount of stress they carry can’t be defined yet they do not fail to spread happiness.
A thought that pops in my mind have we given them enough credit? Let’s keep credit aside have we ever tried to understand how our life has been easier during this pandemic?
If you can perform transactions through bank sitting at home, If you can order food, grocery from your mobile. If you are keeping yourself entertained through OTT, Social media and whatnot. If you are getting medicines delivered to your home. Technical warriors are the reason!!
I completely agree that it’s their duty and they are getting paid for it however is it not our duty to thank them for helping us with their innovations and creativity. They do not expect your credit but all we can do is stand up and salute them.
